I was saddened to learn that my synth buddy Joe Provede has passed away. Joe went by the internet pseudonym JP Video.

He was once the keyboard player for Wayne (now Jayne) County and the Caucasians. Over the years he was active making electronic music, graphic arts and video production. You can find about 90 videos that he made on YouTube on the JP Video Channel, his user name was Stockhausen. Many of them are videos that he made on his travels and they give you a sense of what a wild and crazy guy he was. He had moved from Jersey to Cambodia about a year ago and loved it there.

We were both big fans of early electronic music and chatted about it via Skype on a number of occasions. Joe said that my Atomic Shadow work sounded like a giant snake was sneaking up on someone in a movie. So I made the following piece with him in mind.

Aloha Mister Video from Atomic Shadow on Vimeo.

    Atomic Shadow

Uses a bewildering variety of synthesizers, effects and vintage electronic testing instruments to generate sonic sculptures. A modern take on the early days of electronic music.
